Newport Celebration

The Newport GRT HM event takes place at the Riverfront Theatre and Arts Centre on 17^th June 2010 (10am until 3 pm).

The Newport event, which is free to the public, will provide something for all ages and all tastes combining history and art, theatre and dance, children’s and adult performances including:

- Youth performances by Newport schools involving both movement and drama prepared during a 5 day residency with professional performers

- Traditional storytelling by Taleri Gray and Andre Morgan-Andrews for the young, and not so young, alike

- The first public performance of Isaac Blake’s ‘Lavior’

- See the traditional dancing of Kathleen Cassidy and the Hip-Hop dance moves of Daniel Flynn

- The Inaugural GRT Wales History Lecture given Dr Adrian Marsh who joins us direct from Istanbul
